If your team is performing, it’s a “what?” question. That’s where you bring in coaching. Coaching means asking great questions. As a leader, you can teach someone how to think so they can achieve their goals.
If your team is thriving, it’s a “who?” conversation. This is something where you can consult, build, and continue having success. Consulting means you’re available to brainstorm, guide, coach, teach, and train when appropriate.
